BB434" Maple Fingerboard Variant Model with Renewed "BB" Identity!

The Yamaha "BB" bass has been boldly redesigned based on the concept of "the strongest bolt-on passive" with an eye on the modern music scene. This is the "BB434M", a variation model of the "BB434" with a maple fingerboard, which was manufactured outside Japan to achieve high cost performance and inherits the mechanism of the top-of-the-line "BBP" model.

The "BB434M" has an alder body and a 5-piece laminated neck with a slim grip shape made of a combination of maple and mahogany, and a maple fingerboard that has a faster tone rise and a stronger attack than rosewood. The head finish is also the same as that of the same series models. The head is finished in gloss black, as on other models in the series, and features Alnico 5 magnet PJ pickups and a 3-ply pickguard. The pickup covers are of a generic design and can be customized as desired. The control section has been changed from a pickup selector to a 2-volume/1-tone setup, allowing fine-tuning of the balance of each pickup.

The "6-bolt miter joint," which is used on higher-end models, is a bolt that is driven at a 45-degree angle toward the neck, making it adhere more firmly to the neck and body to achieve a strong sound as a single unit. The "Miter Stringing Bridge" is also equipped, which allows the strings to pass through the back of the body at a 45-degree angle from the bridge saddle.
