A fine antique English rosewood campaign lap desk with Secret Compartment! Exterior with shaped Mother of Pearl inlay and brass campaign carrying handles, 19th century. Presents well and has a nice old finish. Good condition overall with age appropriate wear. General exterior surface patina/marks/stain loss, small losses to wood and a few areas of shrinkage fractures, etc. Interior with old ink stains and patina, lid with wear to velvet surface, etc. Please see all photos for condition.
