What it does
The Monster-Ram improves airflow from the intercooler. It flows 936 cfm (71.5 lbs/min) with Banks’ High-Flow Heater and Billet Intake Plate compared to stock's 421 cfm (32.16 lbs/min).
Monster-Ram raises boost without increasing backpressure at the turbine. The result is a more responsive, power-efficient engine that offers even more headroom than stock for higher horsepower applications.
The complete system
Banks’ High-Flow Heater and Billet Intake Plate complete the perfect system. The High-Flow Heater allows for the removal of the restrictive stock heater grid plate. The new vertical coil-style heater provides the same functionality for cold starts as the stock grid heater but without obstructing airflow. Replacing the restrictive stock grid heater plate with the Banks High-Flow Intake Plate removes all obstructions and turbulence in the airflow path.
How it was designed
Utilizing the latest in CFD (computational fluid-dynamics), tested on the flow bench, the dyno, and on-road, Monster-Ram is a beast that only Banks could have unleashed. A direct-replacement aluminum casting, Monster-Ram is instant power, performance, and acceleration gratification. The factory inlet elbow is cramped and angular in order to accommodate the path of the stock No. 1 fuel line. Banks Engineers designed a new No. 1 fuel line, allowing the Monster-Ram to flow more air without obstruction.

With four 1/8” NPT ports, perfect for temperature and pressure sensors, the sky's the limit for data acquisition and expandability.

Thoroughbred Diesel began as a business that thrived in the diesel repair market, for local folks in Winchester Kentucky since 2001. This allowed our team to really get hands on experience with diesel trucks and gave them the ability to diagnose diesels over the phone. In 2009 we built a new 11,000sq ft. shop with a in house dyno, conveniently located along interstate I-64 in Winchester, KY. This is now the location we host our annual Dyno Day called Judgement Day. Orders recieved by 3pm Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday are normally processed that day. We have several warehouses across the United States that we ship from. Most of our orders come from Kentucky, Idaho, California, or Texas. Most items are in stock in all 4 warehouses and we ship from the closest warehouse to you. We do our best to give everyone a tracking number for their order, if you do not receive a tracking number please just message or call us and ask. We ship items via UPS, Fedex, and our warehouses freight. Shipping is additional to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Please inquire for price quotes. We do accept returns up to 30 days after purchase. Returns
1: Complete the Easy Returns form at our website 2: Within 24-48 hours our returns department will contact you either via email or phone. 3: Our returns department will issue a RMA number and provide further instructions to complete the return. 4: Preparing your item for shipment: a.Returns must be packaged securely in an outer carton b.Do not write on the original product itself.
