Brand new (still in box, only removed to ensure it powers up and photograph), never used. I have also the included the qwerty keyboard I purchased to make labelling tracks easier.

Pick up Leichhardt (Sydney, NSW), I will post free within Australia only, I will consider overseas purchase.

NOTE; FOR MORE INFO ON THIS UNIT (JOECO WEBSITE https://joeco.co.uk/bbr1a-joeco-multi-track-audio-recorder/ , REVIEWS ETC.), THIS UNIT IS AN INDUSTRY STANDARD USED BY MUSIC/FILM/TV PRODUCTION PEOPLE - please research if you’re not that familiar with JoeCo products.

It’s a serious and fantastic peace of kit, unfortunately my small business intention of recording school bands/orchestras live (using this BLACKBOX as a failsafe back up) did not get traction due to some personal challenges, so this unit is now surplus to my needs.

JoeCo The BLACKBOX Recorder BBR1A (Lightpipe digital I/O) - Brand new

Trusted multi-track recording from touring sound to the studio…

The BLACKBOX Recorder was the first professional multi-track recorder designed solve the inherent problems of working with computer-based systems in a live environment, and it remains the most trusted. Relied upon by engineers on tour, in mission-critical broadcasting set-ups and installations all over the world, the BLACKBOX Multi-Track Recorder is the first and last word in reliable multi-tracking audio recording.

The 24 channel BBR1A with Adat Lightpipe digital I/O enables high quality, reliable audio capture via a digital mixing console supporting Lightpipe (TOSlink) inputs and outputs. This BLACKBOX Multi-Track Recorder can also interface directly with any Lightpipe-equipped A-D converter.

The 24 channel BBR1A multi-track ADAT recorder brings the benefits of multi-track audio capture with the BLACKBOX Recorder to digital desks and D-A converters which are equipped with Lightpipe (TOSlink) inputs and outputs.

Three 8-channel Lightpipe inputs can be connected from the mixer while three Lightpipe outputs can return the signals back to the mixer. All other BLACKBOX multi-track recorder features remain unchanged, and the full analogue I/O capability of the standard BBR1 is still available for situations where the Lightpipe interface is not suitable.

All BLACKBOX recorders are designed and built to exacting standards with rugged construction and a suite of unique features. The choice of professional users, the BBR1A multi-track recorder is the solution the professional audio industry chooses and trusts.

For more information, see below to download the BLACKBOX ADAT Recorder brochure.

Note: Due to limitations in the Lightpipe format, use of this option restricts 24-track recording to single speed sample rates (44.1kHz and 48kHz). At double sample rates the unit employs the SMUXII protocol reducing the I/O count to 12 channels. However, the full 24/24/96kHz facility is still available in the analogue domain.
