Inside the optical system there is an iris diaphragm, it works great.The lens block and helicoid are designed for your personally invented optical design. It is possible to make a "pancake" type lens for any modern digital SLR or mirrorless cameras. (see photos).Photo 8 shows how to remove the decorative ring.
It's hard to believe, but the "Lomo Triplet -43" pancake works perfectly (see photos).
