A wonderful pair of antique Spanish Colonial era polychrome carved wood figures of a saintly man and woman in purgatory, early 19th century or a bit earlier. Both have inset glass eyes and gesso and paint over solid wood bodies. Both figures are in good condition for age with both having some soiling to surface, scattered paint loss, scattered losses to fingers, general surface wear, etc. Please see all photos for condition.
