Abeere is the local name in Nigeria for Huntaria umbellata seed. The plant grows well in West Africa and it belongs to the family Apocy-naceae. It is  a medicinal plant of long-standing use in the treatment of various ailments.

Uses:

The seeds should be cleaned with water, dried and soaked in water and left in the fridge. You can drink the water which will be bitter to taste. Some people grind the seed and take with food.
