Vintage to Antique Age Pre-WWII Locking Steamer / Trunk / Footlocker w/ Atkins & Long MFG N87 Lock and x2 new keys. There are no dates I observed on the trunk but I was told by the previous owner that his grandfather used and brought this back from Europe after serving in the European theater during WWII and I believe it pre-dates WWII.
Pre-owned in good condition overall, the lock works and it has no obvious/strong odors like a lot of these old trunks do, I think it went on quite a few journeys in its early years but has been stored nicely for the last few decades, it does have cosmetic wear, including scratches/scuffing/peeling/tarnishing/rust and minor damage on one of the hinges, the leather handles are torn off, staining/discoloration/peeling on interior AKA a great "patina" but very much still usable condition. It has several partial old stickers attached from its travels including Railway Express Agency and Danville State Hospital.
