Brand new, unissued color variation of the US Army "Ranger" tab, indicative of passing through US Army Ranger School. the colors on this tab are reversed from the traditional design, with yellow lettering on a black background. The tab is fully-embroidered with a merrowed edge, and appears to be US made or made to precisely the same standards as US insignia. Same size as conventional Ranger Tab. I've seen a couple photographs of theater-made Ranger tabs in Vietnam with the same coloration (obviously private purchase and unofficial) but never one done to US standards. Could be an experimental or test model specific to a certain US Army Division or branch.
