No chip Or cracks. There is a makers blemish inside the glass as depicted and a couple bubbles.

My best guess is this was either an accidental piece or a piece the artist brought home as a second. Which personally (in my opinion makes it that more rare and intriguing) I don’t tend to come across artists seconds from the era all too often.
