A vintage metal letterpress printing embellishment, presumed to be used for setting the first letter.  The print type is of roses (flower heads and leaves) set in a planter.  The block itself is in very nice condition with no damage is noted on the printing surface, though it really needs a good cleaning to remove old ink in the cuts.
