You are looking at a custom made 2 button joystick that is shaped as the very popular CX40 made for your retro system.  This controller is compatible with various retro systems including Atari 2600+ and 7800. (Also compatible with ATGAMES Atari Flashback systems.)
This joystick and buttons are sanwa style and come with microswitches.

I was tired of my retro console controller having issues everytime I wanted to play it that I decided to 3D print my own controller housing and get some nice microswitch buttons and sticks.  I have 3D printed this in PLA with 20% infill as it is much much stronger that way.  This will hold up much better than your classic retro joysticks.

This will work for the Atari 7800 console as dual buttons and on Atari 2600 console both buttons will do the same function.

This controller has been confirmed to also work on the new Atari 2600+ console as a 2 button controller for the 7800 games.
Please note that older FW might have the buttons swapped, that is not an issue with the controller, but the FW itself.  If you update the FW on the 2600+ this will solve the issue.

All parts on this are brand new (new stick, button and case is 3D printed).
The case was 3D printed, the joystick and buttons taken out of the box and put in the case.  After that the wire was soldered in and case was closed then tested for full functionality.

Due to the overwhelming response for these items I have made several more and I would like to offer to people that are looking for a better way to play their classic Retro games.  These joysticks are also compatible with the Flash back systems as they have a standard 9 pin connector.

Please note that these are 3D printed and not plastic molded there may be some imperfections as they are not 100% perfect.
