Have this gorgeous Swedish Family Bible that’s looking for a new home. Bibeln Svensk Familįebibel

Illustrated Bibel-Ordbook Inledning Till Bibelns Bócker

Original receipt of purchase from Joyce Brothers Co. Massachusetts in 1890 for $12.00

Another receipt for Meier & Frank Co from 1933 in Portland.

Somehow this Bible made it all the way to Arizona.

We’ve had it for a few years and it’s absolutely stunning to look at. Just getting ready to relocate and figured it would be a perfect time to get it in the public’s eye.

I’ve seen a few of these online but nothing exactly like this one.

The only names for possible authors are

(Johnas (Dr. Erik Nyström).

Proclaimed to be one of the first Svensk American Bibles

Part of the Dwight L. Moody movement / revival

There’s pictures of family.

A handwritten letter

There’s a group photo of people in front of a building and they all look very dapper.

This has been an absolute delight in our home and we’re not of any Swedish decent, just the way it’s laid out is so gorgeous.
