The Buteo Photo Gear Floating Photo Blind 'Grebe' was developed by nature and wildlife photographers: it was extensively tested and adjusted where necessary before being brought to market. This floating hide is our latest project to further complete our range of wildlife photo hides.
The hide is very easy to set up: inflate both air chambers, then place the mounting plate(s) for your tripod head, place the 2 storage bags, assemble the frame for the tent and attach the tent fabric to the frame. Your floating hiding place is now ready for use!
Birds and mammals are very shy of humans. By camouflaging yourself and your equipment with the Floating Pop-up Photo Blind, you as a photographer can get close to the wildlife on the surface or at the edges of the water without disturbing or scaring them.
Since they no longer perceive you as a human, they see in it no danger and you can often take great photos up close.
Be well prepared before entering the water;
If possible, find a spot that is not visible to people or wildlife so that you don't startle any mammals or birds before you get started. Prepare your hiding place, set up your photography equipment safely on the shore. Enter the water using vegetation or an inlet. A belt of reeds or other bank vegetation can prove very useful for getting into the water unseen.
The camouflage pattern of the tent itself is our well-known reed pattern, and there is the possibility of additional camouflage such as branches, reeds, etc .to be attached. These extras can be attached using the cords. If you do this correctly, your hiding place will adapt even better to its surroundings.
The tent fabric itself is made of a robust Polyester 150D that has a long service life. In the event of rain/showers you will still stay dry thanks to the water column of 2,500 mm.
As you enter the tent, you will notice the black coating on the inside , which makes it as dark as possible. The viewing windows with an insect net give you enough visibility on all sides to keep an eye on your surroundings. A lens camouflage/lens cover is included in delivery. The lens camouflage further camouflages your lens and protects it from water droplets (same material as the tent). There is an additional viewing window above the lens camouflage. It is the same one used in our Buteo Mark II, Aquila Mark II and Falco series. So the lens camouflage is interchangeable with these tents. Additional lens camouflage can also be attached to the back (to be ordered separately). The tent comes with 2 small pockets for accessories that can be removed if desired. Two mounting plates are included, both of which you can mount and use at the same time. The shooting height at the back of the hide is even lower, so you are literally shooting at the water level with your lens. There is a safety net at the front to prevent anything from falling into the water.
Using a floating hideout is completely different to any other "normal" camouflage tent we offer. You are in the water and have the opportunity to move around to get closer to the wildlife. However, it is advisable not to move too much, but to let the birds or mammals come to you.
A lot of patience and practice is everything!

Beachten Sie daher bitte folgende Hinweise:
Was Sie tun sollten:
Was Sie wissen müssen:
