CTM D ~Wood Select~ Carpathian Spruce] Used 2015!
This is an attractive dreadnought custom model with rare Carpathian spruce on the top. Limited edition of 5 pieces made at the time.
The sides and back are Indian rosewood, but it is also important to note that the wood was also selected by Martin.
Let's look at the head.
The head logo is a large type Golden Era decal, and the pegs are Grover open gear back type. There are no problems with the pegs turning. There are stringwinder scratches, corner scratches, dents, and paint dulling.
The neck is mahogany wood with satin finish, adjustable rod, low profile shape, and 42.9mm nut width. The back of the neck has some dings and scratches from use.
The fingerboard is black ebony with dot inlay position marks.
The frets are partially worn (1st and 2nd strings, 1st to 3rd fret), but this is not a problem in terms of playing, and there is enough remaining.
The heel cap is made of high figured flame koa, and the body binding is made of curly flame koa. The Rosetta is a simple style 28, but the body binding, together with the body binding, gives it an elegant appearance.
The entire body has more playing scratches and dents, but there are no cracks or other major damages. The pickguard is tortoiseshell pattern type, the bridge is black ebony, and the saddle is short saddle.
The top has a clear finish, but it has some color tarnish commensurate with its age.
The bracing is forward-shift scalloped bracing, so you can enjoy a powerful D sound with plenty of volume. The characteristics of Carpathian spruce are similar to those of Adirondack spruce, with a delicate yet powerful sound.
Other than that, the neck condition is good, and the current string height is approximately 2.6mm at 12F on the 6th string and 1.7mm on the 1st string. Nut, saddle, and bridge pins have been replaced.
There are no playing problems, so it is ready to use immediately.
