Violin 4/4, master Valkovich, Ukraine, 1951
The violin is in good working condition, no cracks, ready to play.
On the back there is the stamp “Walcovich”, inside there is the original label of the master.
Master Walcovich is a Polish master who lived and worked in Ukraine in the city of Przemysl.
From 1939 to 1972 he created about 100 violins.
Walcovich made violins based on Hopf's model.
The master used Carpathian wood for the violins.
Walcovich was a violin maker and also worked as an artist - he painted churches in the Carpathian region.
This is a talented master - a genius; his violins do not quite conform to classical ideals and proportions.
The violins are unique, they are played by folk musicians and Carpathian violinists.
The appearance of the instrument is beautiful, the body is made of beautiful flame maple.
The top is Carpathian resonant spruce.
Case length 365 mm, total length 600 mm.
The violin is covered with natural alcohol shellac of golden color.
The sound of the violin is bright, spacious and quite strong.
Recommended for performers of folk melodies and collectors.
Sold as is, Sold without case and bow. An antique case is available upon buyer's request..
