Our Mission

Misfit Books sells exactly that -- books that are misfits. Just because a book may be roughed up, perhaps very roughed up, doesn't mean there isn't a person out there for it. As long as a book can be safely read and used, then we aim to keep it out of a landfill and in a reader's hands.

No-Counterfeits Guarantee

Sadly, while we may love misfit books, there is unfortunately one type of misfit we do not: Counterfeits. We aim to never sell a counterfeit book and we work in remove them from circulation for the sake of publishers, booksellers, and readers alike. We inspect every book for counterfeit signs and recycle those we can confirm or strongly suspect.

It is challenging. Our used books come to us from many different sources, but we can't always know our source's sources. And, let's face it... some counterfeits are really hard to detect! We are sure to miss one eventually, despite performing our due diligence. If you think this book listed here or any book in our store is counterfeit, or if you have received a book from us that you believe is counterfeit, PLEASE contact us and we will work with you to review the book(s) in question and refund you for the full amount!
