Please note sizes are UK - See manufacturer size chart image for US / EUR / Mondopoint conversion.
The Meindl Terlan Lady GTX walking boot is a boot suitable for people with wider feet. Being part of Meindl’s Comfort-Fit range it offers excellent support and a natural relaxed fit.
The uppers are made from suede and mesh providing a lightweight yet supportive boot. The addition of a GORE-TEX lining ensures that the boot is waterproof and durable in all weather conditions. A rubber rand protects against abrasion on rougher terrain. The footbed is extra comfortable made from cork with a wider surface area at the front of the boot. This allows for more movement and support as the foot, particularly the toes, can sit comfortablly. With a fleece covering this footbed guarantees stability and unbeatable comfort. The Terlan Lady GTX boasts a Meindl Multigrip (by Vibram) sole with EVA shock absorber meaning reduced impact and lots of cushioning.
The Terlan GTX is perfect for hill-walking if you have a wider foot.

- Leisure and Hill - Meindl's Grade A / B Terrain Category: This category blends the two either side of it – A and B – meaning that these boots are suitable for both leisure and hill walking. They can stride out on footpaths and lower level hills. The main difference between these boots and those in category B is that these boots are more flexible and slightly softer in the upper.
Technical Features:- Variofix® Technology: The variofix lacing system ensures a perfect fit in the heel area. When lacing up, the free-running “speed wire” strap is pulled in closely and evenly around the heel. This enables us to get the best, individually possible hold for your heel.
- Comfort Fit® Technology: In comparison to a standard fit, a Comfort Fit shoe or boot has more space at the front of the foot with a firm grip at the heel. Your foot stands on a wider base, and the more defined contour of the sole enables an easier walking motion.
- More room for the toes and extra volume
- More width at the flexpoint and straight alignment of the instep, giving more room for the big toe
- Wider stance due to wider sole base
- Perfect fit due to the snug-fitting heel.
Care Advice:
- Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers are not quite dry (don’t forget the tongues of the boots) – it ensures they will remain supple.
- Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
Meindl’s Top Tips:
Alfons Meindl developed the terrain categories to classify his family’s boots in 1975. Over the years, the system has been refined and it’s now widely used by many footwear manufacturers. If you are looking to purchase a pair of boots we would encourage you to read the terrain categories above.
- If in doubt, choose as sturdier boot, as it will cover a wider range of uses.
- If you frequently walk in wet regions, or there is not an opportunity to dry your boots overnight, opt for a GORE-TEX lined model.
- If possible, get your boots fitted in the afternoon as your feet swell during the day.
- Wear your new boots indoors at home to check that you have the correct size before heading outside.
