An absolutely massive unused 2001 promo retail poster for Desperados- a real-time, team-based strategy game by Infogrames for PC.

It measures 39" x 27" or 1m x 68cm.

The incredible illustration/painting is by Glenn Fabry the DC comics cover artist for Hellblazer, Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Preacher among many others.

I helped create this poster and the ad campaign it was based on at Infograme's NY ad agency*. We brought in Glenn Fabry at the height of his stint painting incredible covers for Garth Ennis' Preacher and Neil Gaiman's Sandman at DC. Glenn got the brief and did an ad campaign and a package that featured the motley crew of Western drifters of the game as incredible likenesses of: Lemmy, Clint Eastwood, and a bunch of other iconic faces (and a kickass monkey).

Best brochure we ever made and this one is a super clean copy from my files where it's been since 2001 and is probably one of a handful left anywhere, for what it's worth. It's in great, unused condition with just minor storage wear.

This original retails is in excellent condition. Stored flat since 1997. It came neatly folded originally and is in really pristine condition. Please see the photos.

Shipped flat in a heavily reinforced mailer.

*In the 1990s I worked at a New York advertising agency called RDA. We only worked for video game and high-end hi-fi clients. I worked on the video games. Our clients were GT Interactive, Infogrames, Atari and Acclaim Games. We made literally hundreds of TV ads and print ads for some of the greatest (and some less great) video and PC games of the 1990s. Duke Nukem. Unreal. Oddworld. Turok Dinosaur Hunter. Blood. Etc. I'm selling a bunch of very rare material from that time. These are not ads and brochures torn out of magazines or that were available to the public. These are special promotional items made mainly for the big annual E3 expo in LA and Atlanta or aimed specifically at video game retailers to get them to order the games in big numbers. The special print ads are printed on heavy stock and look amazing framed. The brochures are all original and really rare items. The 90s was a great time and video game advertising was where all the fun and craziness was happening. Please hit me up if you have any questions about any of these items that I'm selling.
