This stunning 19th-century watercolor painting depicts a shirtless workers at the seaside with a body of water behind them.  I believe this to be English because it was purchased at an English auction house, but this could very well be a French or Italian scene due to the types of trees in the background that have a more Mediterranean look.   The painting features shirtless men working on the shore and showcases a impressionism/ post-impressionistic style. Because it features shirtless men, it may also be of interest for a gay-themed collection. Measuring 12 1/4 inches in length and 7 3/4 inches in height, this painting is a medium-sized piece, unframed, and not signed by the artist. This original, one-of-a-kind piece is ideal for collectors and dealers alike and will be shipped with care.

Measurements: 7 3/4 x 12 1/4 inches

Condition: Condition is commensurate with age and use. Some small remnants of paper are glued to the front, probably from having been stored too long with another work on paper. Minor tears, creases and pinholes. Please see photos.
