Vintage Genuine Tahitian Black Baroque Pearl Necklace Set with 9CT Gold Clasp & matching earrings with Pearls & Diamonds.

Please study my detailed photographs for this beautiful & genuine vintage necklace of Tahitian, black baroque pearls, with an iridescent rainbow colouring to them. I’ve taken as many photos that eBay will allow to show the full range of colours mirrored in these beautiful pearls depending on the light. They really seem to have a spirit of their own. I’ve also taken plenty of photographs of the clasp and the earrings. Please have a good look so that you will be able to see exactly what you are getting. Any questions please ask.

Note: these were given to me as a special birthday present over 20 years ago and they were vintage then - by a very close family friend. However, not long afterwards my husband bought me a very similar set of pearls. This being the case, I feel that a suitable number of years have now passed and I have worn these on occasion, so I think it may be the right time to let these go onto a new owner.

The measurements of the necklace shown in the photographs is about 40 cm in length.

The 9 carat gold clasp /375 purity is both delicate, but secure. The Pearl and diamond earrings don’t seem to be hallmarked, I have looked quite carefully, and I believe that the gold pin is definitely 9 carat gold, but I cannot be certain whether the silver coloured surround to the diamond is white gold or platinum.

As for the earrings, I have no record of the size or weight of the diamonds apart from being told that they were diamonds when the set was given to me. Looking at the size I am estimating they are perhaps 0.05 - 0.07carats each. This is only a guess looking at other small diamonds set with black pearls that are currently available on ebay. I have tried to give very detailed photos to help you make up your own mind. sorry, I can’t be more specific.

I do think however, that the butterflies on the studs are not the originals, but they are a matching pair and I think they are probably stainless steel.

The items will be carefully packaged in the Jewellery bag/pouch show me my photographs, but then placed in a box, carefully wrapped to ensure no damage during transit.

Note: please be aware of the length of the necklace, and if you have a similar sized one of around 40 cm please try that on first, so that you are aware of how they will lie around the neck when you receive them.
