This is an Antique Bronze, Gold & Silver coloured cased pendant napkin clip made from an Irish ONE PENNY coin. The earliest is from 1971, latest from 2000.
First issued at decimalisation in 1971 they feature the Irish Harp with the year. Withdrawn and replaced by the Euro in 2002.
All my coins have been in circulation so may have some minor imperfections but they are in very good condition with fine detail.
They are highly polished to a mirror finish and then lacquered to prevent tarnishing.
The clip has a brushed steel finish, 55 mm long with a firm grip. Suitable for cloth or paper napkins.
The Antique Bronze coloured case has an engraved spiral detail on the rear and a diameter of 22 mm. Total length is 90 mm.
