JABO Salute Marble
Two-Toned Pinky
MINT
Run Date: 8/7/11

This JABO Salute marble run had some pretty spectacular glass that was used to create a wonderful run of machine made marbles. I think the trick to this run was how precise the use of aventurine glass was performed. If you have too much, then it seems wasteful and overdone...if there is not enough aventurine, then the marble lacks the necessary sparkle. Once in a while, just the right amount is used and...viola!...you have a marble such as this one. The base glass is a very cool creamy white with the two major glass colors being two slightly different shades of pink.  I will call these rose and strawberry shades of pink. These shades of pink are very unusual and very beautiful...only a couple of these in my batch of 100 or so. In addition, the green sparkling aventurine is generously spread over a couple of very FAT swirls. I would keep this one, but it's time to share some of the keepers with everyone who is interested i collecting the best of the best. Enjoy!

I try to rotate my marbles and provide high resolution pictures with my DSLR camera and flash so you can see exactly what you are getting. This marble was made on the 3/4" marble machine and it measures 0.736" in diameter with a pair of electronic calipers. Note 1: I am experimenting with a new light source and that is the reason for the large rectangular reflection in the marble (not any flaw of the marble). My apologies for the inconvenience.
