Jean Pouyat Limoges Elaborate Gold Rim & Medallion 8 5/8 Inch Plates


Beautiful and elaborate porcelain luncheon plates. Decorated with a fancy gold gilt scrollwork and medallion in the center.

Marked on the reverse Limoges J. P. L France. This mark was used by Jean Pouyat in Limoges France between 1890 and 1932. Also marked J. Pouyat Limoges in a wreath. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Jean Pouyat in Limoges France between 1906 and 1932. Also marked with a W in a wreath over Philadelphia Paris New York. This is an importer's mark used by Wanamaker's during the early 1900s.


Has some wear to the gilding accordingly to age. Overall, they are in a good condition with no chips or cracks. Please refer to pictures as they are part of the description
