Offered is a vintage "LINCOLN DAIRY" wood and metal crate bottle carrier dated "2/45". This crate is incredible. As the photos indicate this carrier is from LINCOLN DAIRY in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was designed to hold twenty-four half-pint milk bottles. From my own personal experience in a rural midwest grade school in the early 1950's, I remember this type of crate used at our school.  It cost two cents for a bottle of milk!  Even though this carrier shows use, it was well maintained and was built to withstand hard use.  It remains solid as a rock! The overall dimensions are 8" X 15" X 12". I've dealt in antiques for 25 years and this is the nicest one I've seen.  Boxed, the package weighs 13 lbs. 3 oz.  I only ship within the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
