This DAS Memorial Day run is the first of a series of Memorial Day runs by JABO. a repeat of a JABO Memorial Day run. This happens to be a very popular holiday for perfect marble making weather and our marble craftsmen from JABO and DAS always seem to love getting together for this wonderful patriotic holiday and making marbles. It is no coincidence that we have multiple marble runs by JABO called "Memorial Day". I think it has to do with Master Dave's military background and his undying love of country. What other wholesome hobby can you think of other than making these beautiful little spheres of art that please adults and children alike? Baseball, apple pie and marble making...lol. How fun, right?

Okay, a little information on this marble: this marble has some beautiful architecture that deserves some explanation. The easily seen part that is logical is the abundance of earth tone colored glass. The hues of walnut, almond, pecan, mocha, burnt orange and banana create one of the most spectacular JABO marbles with a design I would call ?Marmalade Spectrum". This is not an official name, but it kind of fits it perfectly. The green aventurine adds to this combination of pigments to give it some pop and sparkle. This is the definition of a keeper. Enjoy. 

I rotate the marble from all sides to show all angles of the marble, not just the money shots. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR with built-in flash to show as much of the detail as possible. This marble was made on the 3/4" machine and measures a huge 0.779" in diameter with electronic calipers. Note: please excuse the flash reflection and the thumbprint...it is not a flaw in the marble...only a flaw in my photographic skills. :-). This marble has a wet mint excellent surface quality.
