Lovely original tin toleware painted syrup pitcher. This is almost
identical to others sold by Christie's and matches the
lidded sparrows beak form attributed to the Oliver Filley shop in
Bloomfield, CT (though some attribute these to his brother, Harvey
Filley, in Philadelphia). Both shops date to the 1830s. This style is
referenced in American Painted Tinware by Martin and Tucker-Vol 3
