Beautiful vintage wedding dress from the mid 1950s. This was my grandmothers wedding dress - it was sewn for her by a couture dressmaker in NYC. I believe the fabric is silk faille.

It’s a lovely tea length dress with box pleats at the waist — it should be worn with a petticoat to give the skirt that classic 50s volume! The neckline is a wide-almost but not quite off the shoulder fit. The tea length skirt would be perfect for a courthouse wedding!

Overall it’s in excellent vintage condition; there are some signs of wear / the lace is slightly more “ivory” than it probably originally was, please see photos! There is a black stain on just the edge of part of the hem in the back of the skirt. There are some slight crease marks at the back waist. No tiny buttons are missing - the construction and hand finishing on this dress is absolutely beautiful.
