Location refers to Southport, Connecticut, where Adams resided. Boards are either reclaimed antique vellum or imitation vellum pasted on boards which are bowed. There is a "1578" written on front and "I P" embossed in gilt on back. Interior pages are very good, no marks. There are no illustrations in this edition.
