This is an ipod model A1037 2GB version. This ipod turned on when it's plugged in but doesn't hold power. This ipod likely went a very very long time without a charge and thus the battery has quit. The ipod is also not in the greatest of condition with wear from use. This ipod would likely work perfectly fine with a battery swap.
