A fine antique Persian planter bowl hand made from solid thick and heavy gauge of tinned red copper, with finely engraved rows of characteristic geometric pattern, on 3 chains for suspension. Circa 18th-19th Century Qajar period, could also be from nearby Afghanistan/Pakistan or Central Asian areas as these bowls were typical in these regions. The bowl is in good antique condition for the age, with some expected signs of use, two small splits to the rim, minor rubbings to tinning showing underlaying red copper base, with fine rich patina on the base.
