YOU MUST SEE THE ORIGIAL TAGTHAT CAME WITH IT. I bought it in ATlanta 40 years ago at a quilt jamboree event. I liked so much that it had its provenance on the tag. see my photos. It also has several flaws / holes which are clear cut defects from wear and tear or whatever. It has been washed now just four times. I also learned that two color quilts like this belonged to richer families because they could afford not to just use scraps of material thus making multicolor quilts. This has been kept on display and not used in my home. It warms up any room.

I would love to know about Mayor and BURMA PURDY whose mother made this cozy masterpiece. SO pleaselet me know what you know about Fort Payne and the PuRDy Family. I am happy to pass this treasure on as we have really downsized our home. Thx for looking.

THIS IS A PIECE ofAMERICAN HISTORY TO BE VERY PROUD OFdespite its many defects and signs of wear. the msjestic color of this very old quilt clearly outshines its flaws. they give it the wonderful history. please do not buy this if you are a perfectionist, and inask everyone to blow up the pictures so you can see what the flaws look like.
