Excellent mid-19th century tinted color lithographed print lot depicting this scene from Perry's expedition to Japan. 

Among the first American published views of this Asian site and the region in general taken from life. Still largely under valued and appreciated, these views are an important printed historical visual artifact issued during the expansion of United States in the middle of the 19th century.

Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal. Note any small age spotting or toning. Great images. Please study pics, they capture how the lot survives.
