This map is taped to a poster board on corners with a cellophane cover.  Dimensions:  24 x 35 cms.NOLIN, Jean Baptistec. 1657-1708.  J. B. Nolin set up the family publishing business in Paris in the Rue St Jacques where he engraved and sold a wide variety of maps.  Many of his maps were based on the work of Vincenzo Coronelli, the Italian cartographer and of another French geographer, Sieur de Tillemon (Nicholas de Tralage).  Said to come from a rarely seen Jean-Baptiste Nolin atlas “Atlas Général a l’usage des colleges et maisons d’education pour l’intelligence de l’histoire ancienne et moderne, accordés aux observations de l’Accadémie Rle. des sciences suivant les dernieres Memories de . J.B. Nolin …” published by Mondhare in Paris , 1783.
