The "L-00" is a long-selling compact-body Gibson model that was first produced in 1932, at the dawn of the Gibson flat-top era. The L-00 was described in the 1934 Gibson catalog as having "the best balanced sound," and countless players have fallen in love with its tonal characteristics. Even today, the popularity of this guitar has not diminished, and it is loved around the world for its excellent characteristics, such as easy handling and rich volume. This instrument is a USED model made in 2001 with a deep-body that is thicker than a dreadnought, a spec unique to this period. Spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Grover pegs, original pickguard, and script head logo. Despite its small size, it has a deep and rich tone due to the deep-bodied body characteristic of this age, making it an excellent match for blues and storytelling. There are some scratches, dents, and dulling of metal parts due to use and age, but there are no cracks or other major damages. The pickguard shows some shrinkage. Although the body is thick, the size is compact, so it is easy to hold and handle.
