The large head has two string guides, a truss rod opening on the head side, and a 1970s-style logo and model name display, all in a design that symbolizes the 1970s.

This design was inherited from its predecessor, the American Special (hereinafter referred to as "AMESPE"),

The brand logo is silver with a black border (black on the AMESPE).

The classic Crewdson pegs (Rotomatic in AmeSpec) are used.

The new logo mark with a new color scheme is especially fresh.

The new YOSEMITE pickups, handmade in Corona, California, are designed for each model to provide optimum sound quality and are tuned to provide uniform output at all pickup positions.

It is equipped with a tone circuit called GREASEBUCKET TONE SYSTEM.

This tone circuit allows high cut without muddying the sound by moderately attenuating the lows at the same time when the treble is turned down.

The neck pickup can be enabled at any time by using the push/pull function of the tone knob,

This allows you to use the pickups in combinations such as "neck + bridge on" or "neck + middle + bridge on".
