This "private wire" device creates an instant call from one telephone (or modem or fax machine) to another simply by going off-hook. Small and light, it connects with either modular cords or screw terminals and is powered by either 24 Vdc or 12 Vac (adapter sold separately--query seller). It operates to a distance of about one mile in each direction (depending on wire gauge) over ordinary telephone wire.
