These boots were sold to me as Edward Green. However, the name is worn on the inside leather heel and is unreadable. Initially I believed that they were John Lobb. The size 8 1/2/9 E clearly shows UK manufacture. The soles show signs of wear on the outer heel and there is a scrape on the outer left toe that has been polished over. I believe they have been resoled. See photos. The price reflects the overall condition and the fact that Edward Green brand on the inner heel is unreadable. With that said research provided to me shows that John Lobb never has the two split sizes side by side. Edward Green does. Also the 82 at the end of the sizing refers to the last, which is Edward Green. Finally, the buckles match to another pair of my Edward Green cross strap boots. All this points to them being Edward Green, one of the UK’s finest shoe/boot makers.
