MCU FIRST APPEARANCES SET OF (2) KEY COMIC BOOKS
YOUNG AVENGERS
DESPITE the numerous revamps, delays, creative overhauls and continued rescheduling that currently define the state of Marvel movies, Marvel Studios does seem to be doing what's necessary to get itself back on-track after suffering under the direction (or mis-direction) of their Disney corporate ownership. This year -- 2024 -- will see the MCU as a whole begin to turn around as its multiple franchises come together to head in a more concerted direction.
One MCU project that fans have wanted to see come together has long been foreshadowed by the slow yet steady introduction of the characters that will bring it to fruition: the YOUNG AVENGERS. By the end of 2024, the most prominent members of the team will be established in the MCU, with all but one of them having come in to possession of their powers. That loose end, and any others, will be fixed in 2025, and the mid-credits tease seen in The Marvels (2023) will finally have its opportunity to be paid-in-full.
As in Marvel's comics, the MCU's most developed Young Avengers of the future to-date are KATE BISHOP / HAWKEYE II and CASSIE LANG / STINGER, the team's most directly apparent Legacy characters. Given their ties to their original Avengers inspirations, both on the page and on-screen, and because of their cinematic character development, Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang are likely to remain the most prominent Young Avengers when Marvel Studios brings the team into live-action.
Quite clearly, the comic book keys for these two heroines are the ones, above any others, that collectors and speculators will want to find in their long-boxes when that time arrives. In other words, give your collection what it deserves...today.
