The commemorative coin celebrates Paralympic Winter Games 2018 held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on 9–18 March 2018. Ukraine’s national team was represented by 33 athletes, who won 22 medals: seven gold, seven silver, and eight bronze medals. Ukraine ended up sixth in the general rating of the games and fourth by the total number of medals earned.
