Early pair of silhouette shaded profile portraits in early frames. One has a rectangle shaker style frame with 2 gentlemen and two ladies, and the other a single lady depicted, possibly a mother or grandmother. These came from the same estate so I'm offering them together as a set. They appear to be early ink painted paper cutouts attached to a very delicate silk or fine fabric backing.
The oval wooden frame is gilt painted, lady is holding a flower or thistle. Cloth backing has wear due to age. Frame has separation crack at the bottom as shown but is stable. I did remove the cardboard backing and the paper silhouette is signed Theo and noted to be Magdalena. Backing paper no longer intact. Frame measures 7.5" x 9.5".
The rectangle frame is beautiful and depicts one gentleman holding a crop(or possibly wearing a sword scabard) and is holding a quill pen. Ladies appear to be holding sewing or fancywork. I'd presume it may be signed also but have not verified as the back still has the backer paper intact. Frame measures 12" x 15".

See photos, both sides as well as closeups are shown of both framed pieces.

Thanks for looking!
