This DW-12, which we say was produced between 1954 and 1961, has a 6-string double neck and is equipped with Horseshoe pickups familiar from the B6 and other models. It has a wood body with blond finish. The volume and tone pots have been replaced, so the year is unknown. The peg plates seem to have come from the original aggressive screw fastening.

There are some dents, scratches, peeling paint, rust and tarnish on metal parts, and dirt, but considering the age of the instrument, the appearance of the instrument is relatively good. There are a few dents between the two necks that appear to be the result of a tone bar being dropped, but any steel guitarist can probably guess what they are. The legs can be extended and retracted without any problems.

Rickenbacker steel may conjure up images of non-wood bodies such as aluminum, steel, or Bakelite, but the wood body is also attractive. The wood body is also attractive, with a unique, powerful sound that is somewhat sweet, yet still has a strong core. It is also suitable for sacred steel and rock.
