Story1 From an accessory to a necessity ROBERU's challenge A camera strap is necessary when using a camera to prevent it from falling, being stolen, or moving around comfortably. Whenever you purchase a camera on the market, a camera strap is always included as an accessory. ROBERU focused on straps that are inevitably seen as accessories, since the camera is the main focus of the product. The material used for camera straps is suitable for both modern cameras with high performance and functional beauty, as well as vintage hand-wound cameras. I thought that "leather" was the best material for camera straps. Leather is a material that can be used to firmly support your camera, which can be called your partner. I wanted to create a camera strap that could become a "must-have" item. With this in mind, I invented a camera strap named "Leon CS". Story2 Understanding and utilizing the characteristics of leather When making this camera strap, I set a condition that the strap would not damage the camera. Many leather camera straps, both our own and those of other companies, use metal buckles or metal pins to secure the strap at the connection point. Although these straps look convenient because they are easy to remove and strong, we often hear people say, I'm worried that the strap will slip out of place when I put it in my bag, or I'm worried that the metal strap will hit my camera at a moment of sudden contact with the metal strap and cause scratches. I often hear people say, "I'm worried that the strap will slip out of place and hit the metal fittings. It is true that we would like to walk around the city with a leather strap without any worries. Then, let's make a leather belt that can be firmly attached to a camera without using any metal fittings! We developed the "Leon CS" after a year of planning, including durability testing. The idea that made it possible to attach the camera without using any metal fittings is this "back leather". By attaching a "back strap" to the end of the leather belt, we have developed a mechanism that applies force in the opposite direction to the belt loop when the belt is pulled through it, holding it firmly in place. Since force is applied in both directions, the more you pull on it, the more firmly it is secured. When the camera is hung on the belt, the weight of the camera will not cause the belt to flex, allowing the camera to be hung in a smart way. To withstand the force of pulling from both directions, all the connecting parts are sewn by hand. The leather at the tip of the belt is sewn vertically and horizontally to support the camera firmly without tearing the leather even in thinly adjusted areas. The name "Leon CS" is derived from the first two letters of "Leon" and "CS" of "Camera Strap," as it is a "Leather only Camera Strap. We hope that more camera users will remember this name. It is available in four colors: camel, green, gray, and black. All leather is tanned in Japan. The more you use it, the more it will become shiny and tasteful as it ages. Types of cameras that can be attached This product is attached to a camera with a 10mm wide leather belt through the camera's connecting part. It can be attached to cameras that come with a part called a triangular can. It can also be attached to cameras (including single-lens reflex cameras) that have a special flat metal attachment to put the strap through in advance. Both of these can be attached only when the strap hole size is at least 10mm in width and 2mm in depth. Please use within a total weight of 10kg including camera and lens. About the characteristics of leather The leather used for this product is domestic tanned cowhide. Because the leather is a natural texture, the surface of the leather will contain blood streaks, grains (reversal), old scratches, etc. of the cow. We will select the best part as much as possible for cutting and sewing, but please understand that these characteristics are included. About the color of the leather We try to take pictures in natural light as much as possible to convey the original color of the leather without image processing, but the leather color may vary slightly depending on the color tone of your browser. Regarding the load capacity when Leon CS is attached The load capacity when the camera strap is attached is 10kg or less. This product is made to order.
