This rare box set is an amazing find and a great investment.  I would give the set of books a rating of 6-8 from perfect. (not the box! it's barely a 3) So instead of telling you first of all the great aspects of this collection let's go right to what you want to know. What damage does the set have? I focused on the damaged pages in this listing of pictures and some of the great ones.  The story of Sleepy has the bulk of the damage. There is a set of two pages that have come unstapled from the book and are loose. They are in great condition just came free of the staples. Sleepy has 4 pages where a child got loose with a crayon (see pictures.) Dopey has a torn page of 20% of the top between the two pages. You can see in the pictures have very small tears on the sides. ALL the damage I could find in all the books are in the pictures. The rest of the books and covers are in a 8-9 rating. If you are going to invest in this set PLEASE ask to see more pictures. Ask questions BEFORE you buy 

The box as you can see is barely held together by tape.
