We are moving and downsizing.  With some sadness we have decided it is time to part with some our our most treasured and beautiful art nouveau pieces.  From our personal collection we are pleased to offer this statue of a dancer in a gold dress by the famed French Art Nouveau Artist and Sculptor, Claude Bonnefond.  This is one of a pair of these statues we have (see second last photo).  The other, listed separately, is the same casting but the dancer is in a green dress.

The dancer in the statues is almost certainly the American dancer, Loie Fuller, who conquered Paris on her opening night at the Folies Bergere on November 5, 1892 and featured in a number of other pieces by Claude Bonnefond.

The statue is signed on the base "C. Bonnefond."

There is a little loss of the color on a few places (see photos) but the statue is in generally excellent condition with crisp detail.

The statue is 16" from base to top of left hand.

The statue is quite heavy and will be double boxed for transport.
