Gene Hackman and Melvin Douglas deliver two of their finest performances in I Never Sang For My Father, a compelling drama which garnered Academy Award nominations for both actors. This highly acclaimed film brings to life the poignant story of a kind-hearted son who devotes his life to winning the affection and approval of his stubborn, opinionated father. Hackman portrays the young, professional son who struggles to care for his recently widowed and aging father (Douglas).  But his efforts to assist Douglas are met with hostility and Hackman's affection is rebuffed. It's only when Hackman is forced to make new living arrangements for him that Douglas finally breaks down and shares his true feelings with his son.

CONDITION: 

VHS is in used, but good condition and from a smoke-free home. VHS cassette is complete and free of mold or issues, and has various rental stickers from MovieTyme throughout (as pictured). Case is a side-loading slipcover in good condition, with a red category dot sticker on the front side (as pictured). A clear plastic protector is also included. Due to use and storage, signs of wear are visible. VHS is tested and plays without issue, although exhibits older quality. See actual photos of item above.
