Heroin was prescribed for reliving a cough it was sold over the counter between 1897-1904  

This vintage bottle was part of a Medical Museum collection that we were permitted to photograph.

Photo measures 5x7 inches on glossy photo paper stock. 

The name Heroin was used, because apparently early drug testers said it made them feel heroic.
