Not Under Command large copper lantern made circa 1850s by the Tung Woo Corporation in the former British colony of Hong Kong.

Over many years I have gently brought back its beauty from a lantern that was salvaged from a sunk merchant vessel in the 1920s.
Remarkably everything is original and intact, including the fresnel glass, red glass liner and oil lamp chimney.
Brass bars, top and tail mounting arms, hinges, plates and lips etc all in fantastic condition.
Lantern is 13 inches high x 8 inches wide and contains a small copper oil/paraffin lamp within, which I have left untouched so it's patina remains.

There is a noticeable dent at the back, and the red liner is cracked but complete, plus evidence of contemporary repair welds around the plate, and other small signs of use and age.
Best of all, it's not one of a pair, so owning one does not reduce its value!
Could be converted to electricity I am told.

Please refer to images as to appearance and part of the description, and please ask questions prior to purchase, as owing to its age and fragility it is no return.
