Chunky Gold Lutz Oxblood Glower

This DAS Heartland 2 marble run had most of the marbles with a clear base glass. These transparent type marbles have some amazing internal swirls and some external chunky gold lutz. Some lutz marble have a fine evenly spread mist of gold dust and others have huge rocks of gold lutz...this marble is the huge rocks and you can tell. This does give the marble some uneven surfaces, but it is completely normal for this type of chunky lutz marble. The cool thing about this particular marble is the amount of oxblood on this little gem. I think that this has more oxblood glass than all my other Heartland 2 marbles...it's a keeper for sure.

Here's something pretty cool that you can do to entertain yourself on those rainy days...if you have a blacklight flashlight (easy to find on Amazon), then you will see the fluorescence of the glass as shown in the last photos. This type of glass is called Fluorescent. FYI...Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. It is a form of luminescence. In most cases, the emitted light has a longer wavelength, and therefore a lower photon energy, than the absorbed radiation...in case you are curious... :-) So, since we have a glower, we can assign the "radioactive" descriptor. 

I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR camera with flash to show all the details of the marble that might not be visible in lower lighting conditions. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is 0.729" as measured with electronic calipers. Note" please keep in mind that these chunky gold lutz marbles do not have a smooth surface.
