Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1944 Edward F. Cline Horror Comedy Musical GHOST CATCHERS, based on the story “High Spirits” by Milt Gross & Edward F. Cline and starring Ole Olsen, Chic Johnson, Leo Carrillo, Gloria Jean, Martha O'Driscoll, Andy Devine, Christine Forsyth and Lon Chaney Jr..

This Universal comedy-horror-musical extravaganza Ghost Catchers provided a vehicle for the vaudeville duo of Ole Olsen and Chic Johnson. The pair’s brand of chaotic stage comedy had been popularised on the screen thanks to the 1941 adaptation of their stage revue Hellzapoppin’, and Ghost Catchers capitalised on the formula, with anarchic set-pieces and slapstick gags in a haunted-house setting.
